During Appointment

  1. After checking to make sure you've had a chance to use the restroom, we will go to the treatment room and take a few minute to discus how your body feels today.

  1. Please communicate any injuries, bruises or worries here. As long as you are on time this will not affect treatment time.

  1. I will ask your preferred pressure levels and target areas, as well as any areas you are uncomfortable with work being done. (I usually work everything but the stomach, unless requested)

  1. I will leave the room and knock when I come back in.
  2. *You will undress to your comfort level. This means whatever is comfortable to you. you can leave undergarments on and i will work around them. I will maintain professional draping throughout your session, only uncovering each specific area of your body being addressed at the time. In most cases, fully disrobing makes it easier for me to get to the most problem areas, resulting in a more satisfying massage session for you. It is your decision whether or not you take clothing off, and I will adapt to accommodate you.
  3. *Please remove all jewelry!

  1. Please feel free to communicate with me at any point if you want more or less pressure and if any pain is present. I will check in at the beginning. The pressure is too much if you can not breathe through it. You want to be able to relax into the focus area and let gravity and me do the work.

  1. BREATHE, this one is the most important. This is your time to be in your body and to let it move blood and oxygen to the needed muscles and trigger points.

  1. At the end of the session, there will be a hot towel offered to wipe any excess oil off (or just let it soak in!). I also have an in room sink and mirror for you.

  1. I will leave the room and you will slowly take your time sitting up. Put your feet on the floor first and allow yourself to reintegrate before you get dressed. You may use the restroom and please check for jewelry removed before massage.

  1. I will be waiting at the front, with a cup of water, where we will discus what came up during session and we can smoothly check out.

After your Appointment

  1. Most people after a massage feel very relaxed and in their bodies, this can make the mind a little slow to come back. allow yourself space and some time afterwards to relax. If possible, give yourself a little quiet time after to reset and let the massage settle in the body.
  2. You may be sore, especially after a deep tissue, a good bath with some Epsom Salts can help relieve sore muscles.
  3. Hydrate with water, tea or electrolyte replacement.
  4. Gentle stretches can also alleviate sore muscles post treatment (happy to offer recommendations)
  5. *I recommend taking the rest of the day or night off and a good meal!
  6. Avoid heavy physical activity, alcohol and caffeine for about 24hrs after.
